Open Question: When I opened up iDVD on my 2007 MacBook it said Your Mac does not have a supported S.D.(Please read details)?

When I opened up iDVD on my early 2007 MacBook it said Your Macintosh does not have a supported Superdrive. So, I’m assuming that Apple only put DVD burners on the MacBook Pro at that time. I need to create some DVDs/ new projects and I was wondering if it would be worth spending a little extra money for the MacBook Air Superdrive?
Ok, I just found out that the MacBook Air Superdrive will only work with a MacBook Air. So, Is there any external optical drives that’ll work with my regular MacBook?

Open Question: What is the best Mac model?

I am curious what the best, in your opinion, Macintosh Model that are currently being made, e.g. MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, etc.
I don’t want to know which friggin’ tool is best.
I want to know which laptop is best for college.
I’m going to Harvard University in the Autumn.

Open Question: The best computer for digital artists?

I have a PC right now, and I know that Vista is definitely not the best to use for art purposes.
Most people I ask say Apple’s are the best way to go for artists.

But I wanted to know if there was anything other than a Macintosh.

Or, if someone could tell me if there is a specific kind of Mac, or if they’re all pretty much the same (Macbook, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, ect.).
