Hi guys, i come from Australia and i am really interesting on the new released product of Apple, Macbook air, so i wonder can i oder one from united states instead of order here, Australia, due to the price in here after i compare is a quite higher than in the US? Can anyone tell me how do i order one? and will i being charge for any tax such as GST or any other extra fees

Macbook Air Case question by Ricks: 2nd hand or brand new macbook air?
I’ll be getting a macbook air next week but I’m not yet sure which one. I’m buying the 1st gen, 1.6/80gb, because it’s cheaper now.

I was looking at a second hand, 10 month old one. It has applecare til Feb 2011, 2 cases, an unused superdrive and a bunch of unused cords and adapters. It costs the same as a brand new 1st gen.

Is this a good deal primarily because of applecare? Or should I get a new one and just buy the accessories? Thanks!

2nd hand would be fine if you are getting it from Apple refurbished. If you are getting it from ebay – make sure the seller includes the installation disk with it (vital for password recovery)

The newer one should be slightly faster – just depends what your preferences are.

Macbook Air Case question by Snakedoc: Macbook Air or 12″ Powerbook G4?
Hello I’m looking for a portable laptop for use when I’m not on my imac. I’m basically going to use it around campus for notes, word processing and internet browsing. I’ve narrowed it down to the Apple Macbook air and the 12″ powerbook g4. Money wise I have about 0. Here’s what I was thinking:

Macbook air + case= 5 (on ebay)

OR

12″ Powerbook + 128gb ssd + case +invisbleshield = 0

Personally I love the powerbook solely on their size, but I’m worried they’ll become obsolete once Snow Leopard comes out and that’s why I’m thinking about the macbook air, which I can use Snow Leopard on and it has the core 2 duo processor. Which one should I get?
