Apple MacBook Air

I’d like to read some of people’s experiences with their Mac laptops. I am currently in the market for one and I am having some trouble deciding between a regular MacBook and a MacBook Air. I’ve noticed that regular MacBook’s tend to carry more hard drive space as well being generally faster. Conversely, MacBook Air’s seem to have Wi-Fi’s built in and tend to make people look thinner (or more fat depending how you look at it). Also, could anybody tell me what the differences are between PATA hard drive’s and solid-state drive’s? Thanks for your help!
